Job Title: Global Project Manager, Early Development
In Roche we make transformative medicines for patients in order to tackle some

The vision of CICoR ED is to lead CICoR clinical program development with
global strategy formulation and execution, in collaboration with internal and
external partners both in China and worldwide. Our goal is to prioritize our
best scientific discoveries and bring these innovations from the lab to the
clinic as quickly, effectively, and safely as possible.
The Global Project Manager (GPM) is a strategic partner with the team leaders
and plays a critical role in proactive planning, execution and optimizing
timelines/resources through excellence in project management, as well as
interfacing with global early and late phase Portfolio and Program Management
(PPM) organizations.
Roles and Responsibilities
* A core member in Early Development Project Team driving projects from DevGo
to the start of pivotal trials and Pivotal Go (PivGo).
* Contributes to the definition of project strategy and guides the project
core and sub teams to deliver on project objectives successfully and decision
points timely.
* Create and foster global cross-functional collaboration together with the
Project Team Leader (PTL) to ensure timely regulatory, late stage, commercial
and external expert input into the clinical programs, and to ensure the
clinical strategy is translated into the development of a study protocol and
related documents.
* Ensure global-China early clinical development plan alignment, and
facilitate inter-project alignment and communications.
* Is the main interface between CICoR Early Development and (1) CICoR and
p/gRED PPM, (2) PD, (3) GPS, and (4) Business, for project-related activities
and timelines.
*
* Establish and maintain functionally integrated project schedules to enable
accurate project, financial and portfolio analysis and ensure accurate inputs
are provided into business planning processes. Ensure alignment with project
sub-teams and functional partners.
* Oversee and prepare project team budget including resources and costs,
collaborating with finance and other cross-functional departments.
* Communicate, document and archive project team activities and decisions.
Act as a primary contact for project team related information.
* Proactively identify and manage risks with scenario planning and risk
mitigation plans and implementation.
* Facilitate project team meeting, cross-functional communication and
decision making, ensuring alignment with internal and external stakeholders.
* Identify, recommend and implement opportunities for streamlining team and
business processes.
* Ensure the team achieves and maintains a high-level of sustainable
performance by contributing to appropriate team management best practices,
knowledge/good practice/lessons learned sharing.
* Coordinate and track key project activities, including interactions and
site/KOL engagement.
* Keep track of p/gRED portfolio and status by interacting with p/gRED
portfolio management team, and timely engages CICoR ED TA experts for
assessment and positioning
* Keep track of CICoR ED portfolio and program status, and share with Pharma
Portfolio, GPS, PD/SRPL, p/gRED stakeholders on a regular basis
Qualification
Thrive in a dynamic, inclusive environment, which gives you full
accountability for your contributions and own development. Resourceful and
flexible in problem solving, and in working in a collaborative and inclusive
manner. Transparent and have a sense for ensuring that everyone has the
required information at all times.
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management and/or leadership
experience in supporting/leading cross-functional teams, including a minimum of
3 years in clinical development. Working experience in pharma/biotech industry
preferred.
* Knowledge of clinical development, the composition and needs of the
clinical project team.
* Strategic and analytical thinking skills to assimilate complex information
to inform decisions.
* Leadership and influencing skills to be effective in a highly matrixed
organization with geographically dispersed teams, use of interpersonal skills
and influence to accomplish work without formal authority.
* Ability to be comfortable with uncertainty and support teams through
challenges, to identify and solve problems (escalating issues appropriately),
and to adapt and respond to changes in a positive and thoughtful manner.
* Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
